Nottingham City Council - Late Night Levy ratified

Nottingham City Council has approved the Late Night Levy by way of full Council ratification.

The consequence is that some 260 premises will be subject to the Levy if they operate beyond 00.01 with the fee becoming payable from 1 November 2014. However, a small concession was approved in that those sites who are members of the Business Improvement District (BID) will be exempt.

The only alternative to payment is to reduce the hours of operation to terminate by 00.01. This can be undertaken without payment of the Council fee of £89 but such applications must be undertaken within what is a small window of opportunity – prior to 1 November 2014.
